Roman Konovalov is an artist, curator. Born on February 13, 1982. He received his professional education at the Faculty of Contemporary Art at the Higher School "Environment", studied in the workshop of the artist Arseny Zhilyaev. Co-founder of the gallery and member of the eponymous independent artist community 22Gallery. Participated in group exhibitions at the Khodynka Gallery, 22Gallery. Was presented to the Open Winery, Cub. Moscow. Supervised collective projects at 22Gallery. Works with painting, graphics, objects.

 

In his works, Roman refers to the present through speculative scenarios of the future. Explores various futuristic predictions, developing applications to modern logic. It is through the prism of a possible future that he is trying to look at the processes taking place now. Looks for new ways of assembling to combine temporalities.
